Newport, Rhode Island – May 17, 2010 – Sailors for the Sea, the only ocean conservation nonprofit focused on the sailing and boating community, is proud to announce the availability of the Special Edition ‘Sailors for the Sea’ G3 jacket (new Spring 2010) by Atlantis WeatherGear, a performance apparel and sportswear company offering products for active lifestyles on and around the water. 

The sale of the stylish special edition G3 jacket is a unique fundraising and membership drive effort for Sailors for the Sea. Atlantis WeatherGear will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the special edition jacket to Sailors for the Sea. Buyers will also receive a free one-year membership to Sailors for the Sea. Existing Sailors for the Sea members who purchase the jacket will receive a free one-year renewal of their existing membership.

Our playground is in danger, and we need to do something about it.”

The G3 Jacket – New for 2010

The G3 jacket is made from a two-layer waterproof/breathable polyester laminate with a mesh liner for protection and moisture management. The jacket’s 3″ collar provides protection without getting in the way, and the drawcord takeups located inside the pockets reduce the risk of any loops hanging out catching on clutches or winch handles. With clean lines and a stylish profile, the G3 can be worn sailing and out on the town.
