Marine life and vital coastal habitats are straining under the increasing pressure of global use.  The ocean, which was once considered inexhaustible and resilient, is, in fact, finite and fragile.  Sailors for the Sea is a national nonprofit organization that educates and empowers the boating community to protect oceans and local waters.  The boating community has a profound passion for - and understanding of - the world's seas.  Sailors for the Sea was founded to galvanize the boating community around ocean health issues.

In 2010, the Board of Directors established Ocean Guardians as the highest level of annual membership.  Through annual gifts of $1,000 or more, Ocean Guardians contribute critical donations necessary to support and expand Sailors for the Sea's ocean conservation programs.  Our growing community of philanthropic leaders understands that achieving success depends on long term partnerships that inspire others to invest in the future of our oceans.Thank you for considering such an important contribution.
